This was a short 2 week project which focused on packaging.
The Problem:
In recent years packaging has become one of the major issues for consumers in terms of environmental impact. Single Use Plastics (SUP’s) has become the industry standard when it comes to packaging when it is often unnecessary.
The Brief:
Identify packaging that is currently packed and distributed using SUP’s and design an innovative packaging using 100% corrugated cardboard.
I focused on the food takeaway business, specifically looking at deliveries like Deliveroo. I designed a modular and reusable design which uses a strong cardboard that is still recyclable, which would replace all the deliveries being handed to the riders in plastic bags. The individual food containers could be securely placed into the cardboard container and then placede into the riders delivery bag.
